Transnational Meeting in Crete
e-RES Project Comes to Life in Crete: Highlights from Our Transnational Meeting in Greece
April 2025 | Erasmus+ | e-RES Project
The sun-drenched city of Rethymno, on the island of Crete, provided the perfect backdrop for a milestone moment in the e-RES project. On 16–17 April 2025, the full consortium of partners gathered at the European Centre in Training for Employment (ECTE) for a two-day Transnational Project Meeting — and it was two days well spent.
What Is e-RES?
For those new to the project: e-RES (Creation of e-guidance via an innovative set of toolkit for professional know-how enhancement at VET) is an Erasmus+ co-funded initiative bringing together partners from across Europe and Turkey. Its mission is to modernise Vocational Education and Training (VET) by developing gamified digital learning tools, Work-Based Learning modules, and accessible smartphone-ready resources — all designed to boost the skills and motivation of VET trainers and learners alike.
At Aloes Hub, we are proud to be part of this forward-thinking consortium.
Two Days, Real Progress
With all partner organisations present, the meeting was structured around the project’s core work packages — and the conversations were as energising as the Cretan surroundings.
Work Package 2: Gamification & Entrepreneurship
The consortium reviewed and formally validated the materials developed under WP2, confirming their quality and cross-country adaptability. Two concrete action points were set: a Greek translation of the module will be uploaded by 22 April 2026, and the participant assessment form will be redesigned into a more dynamic, user-friendly format by the same deadline.
Work Package 3: WBL & ECVET Modules
Partners turned their attention to the Work-Based Learning and ECVET materials, identifying the need for tighter coherence and consolidation. Agreed next steps include uploading the WBL Greek presentation, compiling the ECVET module into a single comprehensive document, and finalising all related presentations — all by 30 April 2026.
Keeping It All Aligned
A broader conversation about cross-work-package coherence led to a clear consortium-wide decision: all modules, translations, presentations, and supporting materials must be finalised by mid-May 2026, ensuring a smooth and confident entry into the implementation phase.
What Comes Next: Pilot Workshops
With content development firmly on track, partners agreed on the next big step — pilot workshops. Each partner country will deliver two workshops with 20 VET trainers each, giving the developed materials their first real-world test. The target deadline is mid-June 2026 (with mid-September 2026 for Ukraine). Structured evaluation questionnaires, developed by the Turkish partners, will be used to capture meaningful feedback for further refinement.
See You in Slovenia!
The next Transnational Meeting is already in the calendar. It will be combined with a training activity and will run for four days, hosted by our Slovenian partners — tentatively at the end of September or beginning of October 2026. On-site visits are also being planned, which we think will be a wonderful opportunity to deepen collaboration and exchange hands-on experience. Final dates will be confirmed shortly via a Doodle poll from ECTE.
Spreading the Word
The consortium also reaffirmed its commitment to dissemination. Partners will ramp up social media activity, engage relevant stakeholders more actively, and contribute regularly to a shared Dissemination Register — a new tool being developed by ECTE to track and maximise the project’s European reach.
You can already follow the project on Instagram for updates and highlights.
The meeting in Rethymno left the whole consortium energised and aligned. At Aloes Hub, we believe that collaboration across borders — exactly the kind e-RES is built on — is how meaningful change in education and training happens. We’re looking forward to the pilot phase and everything that follows.
Stay tuned for more updates as e-RES moves into implementation!
